Exchange seeks Adani Green’s clarification on Kenya dropping $2.5B deals post US indictment, ET LegalWorld

The Exchange has sought clarification from Adani Green Energy Limited with respect to recent news suggesting that Kenya has dropped over $2.5 billion of Adani deals after the US indictment.

In the aftermath of the US Indictment, the Kenyan President ordered the cancellation of a procurement process that had been expected to award control of the countryтАЩs main airport to the Adani Group.

The United States Department of Justice and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission have issued a criminal indictment and brought a civil complaint, respectively, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, against Gautam Adani and Sagar Adani.

“The Adani Group has always upheld and is steadfastly committed to maintaining the highest standards of governance, transparency and regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions of its operations,” Adani Group said in the stock filing.
