Dr MCR HRD Institute, LBSNAA launch capacity building program for Rajya Sabha Secretariat officials, ET Government

Dr MCR HRD Institute, Hyderabad and Lal Bahadur Shasty National Academe of Administration, Mussoorie, jointly launched a two-week capacity building program for the officers of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat on Monday.

Dr Shashank Goel, DG of the Institute and Special Chief Secretary to Govt of Telangana, said that the program is to empower the officers from the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to contribute meaningfully to India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat.

“The officers of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat hold a pivotal role in the legislative process of our country. As guardians of parliamentary procedure and protocol, your work ensures that the legislative branch functions efficiently and that the sanctity of our democratic processes is maintained,” Goel said.

The objectives of the program are to enhance organizational efficiency, develop skills, foster desiloisation, facilitate exposure to emerging technologies, cultivate leadership and innovation, foster a collaborative understanding of pathways to national development, ensure holistic development, and align with future needs.

Kushal Kumar Pathak, Joint Secretary, Rajya Sabha Secretariat, said that the main objective of the capacity building program is to impart domain knowledge, enrich and diversify job-related skills, and to create the right perspective in the minds of the officers about their respective roles. “The training program will be greatly instrumental in empowering the officers to contribute to India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047,” he stated.

Dr Bagadi Gautham, Deputy Director (Sr), LBSNAA, explained the key features of the capacity building program. Dr DT Chary, course coordinator, Dr KV Satya, facyulty, CMB, also spoke.
