Rajouri, Dec 12: District Magistrate Rajouri Abhishek Sharma has ordered a magisterial probe in incidents of deaths of seven people including six children.
The time bound magisterial probe has been ordered on Thursday evening and report will be submitted before DM office.
“We have ordered a Magisterial probe into the incident and Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Kotranka will conduct an independent probe,” DM Rajouri Abhishek Sharma said. He further said that other necessary steps have been taken after these incidents that especially include aggressive sampling of water, food and other items being consumed by locals and especially victim families. He also said that a team of doctors has also been stationed in the area for screening of people in Badhal areas. Meanwhile, a team of Epidemiologists has also been deployed to this area by Jammu and Kashmir Government.
The officials and officers of Epidemiologist Office of Directorate Health Services Jammu have been deputed to visit the site on December 13 who include Medical Officer Epidemiology Dr Prem Lata, State Epidemiologist IDSP Dr Simran Nag, Microbiologist Jammu Division Ajay Kumar and others.
Besides, district administration has also issued a helpline over the issue asking people to contact on the helpline numbers for any assistance.
