Jammu, Feb 5: Senior National Conference leader and Member of Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmdd has called for the developing and augmentation of the Jammu University (JU) campus in Poonch and Kashmir University (KU) south campus.
In a statement he said that such a move would provide more modern facilities, more resources, infrastructure and more opportunities for our students to succeed.
“The current twin campuses are not fully equipped to meet the needs of students. It is a matter of providing our students with the best possible education and preparing them for the challenges of the 21st century,” Mian Altaf said. He added that the infrastructure and academics with regard to having adequate faculty and staff should be improved so that the university students do not face any problems. Notably, The South campus of Kashmir University and Jammu University campus in Poonch were founded in 2008 with the goal of expanding the University’s academic offerings and catering to students from the southern region of the Valley, the statement said.
