Chemical major Deepak Nitrite has appointed Bhumika Batra, a partner at Crawford Bayley & Co., as an Independent Director for a three-year term commencing June 28, 2025. This appointment succeeds Purvi Sheth, whose second term concludes the prior day.
Batra brings approximately two decades of regulatory and legal expertise to the board. Her credentials include membership in the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, and an executive management program from Cornell University.
She currently holds independent directorships at Jyothy Labs, Hinduja Global Solutions, Repro India, and Sudarshan Chemical Industries.
Batra is also a qualified Company Secretary with a Master’s in Law.
