The All Kerala School Teachers’ Union (AKSTU) has demanded that a case of murder be registered against those responsible for the death of a schoolteacher in Kozhikode recently. In a statement, the union alleged that the school management had taken money from the schoolteacher for appointment to a post that had not got approval from the General Education department.
The union claimed that agents were working in the name of some managements to provide jobs in exchange for money. The government should regulate aided school appointments to prevent such incidents in the future.
Urgent action should also be taken on pending files in education offices, a statement from the AKSTU said.
