Kishtwar, Oct 25: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, on Saturday chaired a meeting of Agriculture and Allied Departments to review the formulation of a comprehensive Six-Year Action Plan under the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PMDDKY).
As per an official statement issued, Kishtwar is among the 100 districts of the country selected as an Aspirational Agriculture District under the PM Dhan Dhaannya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PMDDKY) based on key indicators such as low crop productivity, low cropping intensity and limited short-term agricultural credit disbursement.
Discussing the roadmap, the DC emphasised stakeholder departments adopting a coordinated, integrated and outcome-orientated approach in the plan formulation to ensure sustainable agricultural growth, enhanced productivity and improved livelihoods.
The concerned departments presented their respective proposals and shared insights for an integrated development strategy.
