We had previously reported that actors Adivi Sesh and Shruti Haasan are teaming up for a pan-India action drama titled Dacoit. Now, the latest is that actor Mrunal Thakur has replaced Haasan in the film after the latter exited the project reportedly due to creative differences with the makers.
The makers released all-new posters featuring Sesh and Thakur to announce the news.
Dacoit is billed as a gripping story of two former lovers, who must unite to commit a series of robberies to change their lives.
The project marks the feature directorial debut of Shaneil Deo, who has previously served as the director of photography for several Telugu blockbusters such as Kshanam and Goodachari, both headlined by Sesh. Notably, Dacoit has a story adn screenplay jointly written by Sesh and Deo.
The film, which is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and presented by Annapurna Studios. It is co-produced by Suniel Narang.
