Dabur India Limited has received an order for demand of ₹46,13,35,618, excluding interest as applicable under Section 50 of the CGST Act, 2017, according to the Company’s exchange filing.
On February 04, The Joint Commissioner confirmed a GST demand for ₹ 23,06,67,809/- along with equal penalty and interest (as applicable) in multiple States with respect to the valuation of products, pertaining to financial years from 2017-18 to 2022-23.
The Company has already paid an amount of ₹ 19,57,38,061/- towards tax demand under protest. The Company is likely to challenge the order before an appropriate authority.”The Company will challenge the order before appropriate authority as it has strong merits in the case,” the company said in the exchange filing.
The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
