Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advises on ₹750 crore debt securities issuance by Sustainable Energy Infra Trust, ET LegalWorld


Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted as the investors’ legal counsel in relation to maiden issuance of senior, secured, rated, listed, redeemable, non-convertible debt securities having a face value of ₹1 lakh each, aggregating up to ₹750 crores on a private placement basis by Sustainable Energy Infra Trust (“Issuer”, acting through its investment manager Sustainable Energy Infra Investment Managers Private Limited), to certain identified investors (including but not limited to Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited and India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited) for the purposes of, inter alia, repayment of existing facilities availed by the Issuer and for meeting any transaction expenses in respect of the issue of the Debt Securities.The transaction team was led by Subhojit Sadhu, Partner (Finance & Infrastructure) Director (CAM – Middle East); Gautam Saran, Partner; with assistance from Kavya Mathur, Senior Associate; Aiyushi Mehrotra, Associate; Rudraksh Karnik, Associate.
