A special glimpse video of the ‘Chikitu Vibe’ song from Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film, Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was unveiled by the makers on Thursday (December 12, 2024), on the occasion of the superstar’s 74th birthday.
Lokesh shared the video on his X handle, writing “Happy happy birthday thalaivaaa @rajinikanth. Our gift to you from Team #Coolie (sic).”
The glimpse features the superstar shaking a leg in classic Rajini style to T Rajendar’s vocals. With music scored by Anirudh Ravichander, the track also has vocals by rapper Arivu, who has also written the lyrics.
Coolie, the much-hyped collaboration between the Vettaiyan-actor and Vikram-director, features a star-studded cast that includes Akkineni Nagarjuna (who will play the role of Simon), Upendra (in an undisclosed role), Sathyaraj (as Rajasekar), Soubin Shahir (as Dayal) and Shruti Haasan (as Preethi). There are speculations that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is also part of the cast.
Interestingly, Lokesh has confirmed that Coolie will not be part of his Lokesh Cinematic Universe which consists of Kaithi, Vikram and Leo.
Produced by Sun Pictures, Coolie is Rajinikanth’s 171st film. An official release date is yet to be announced
