Rajouri, Jun 14: Security forces Saturday recovered a cache of ammunition from a village of Thanamandi subdivision of Rajouri district in Pir Panjal region.
The cache included live bullets of different calibres that were reportedly stored in a polybag in dense forests.
Officials said that security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the Islampura village of Thanamandi during which the cache was recovered.
The recovery included 48 bullets of 7.62 x 54 mm of PK Machine Gun, 5 rounds of 9 mm and 1 round of 5.56 mm along with 400 gm of powder suspected to be explosive used for making IEDs.
