Srinagar, Sep 23: Boys Higher Secondary School, Zainakote has won the prestigious ICSE Youth for Earth Award at the 6th International Conference on Sustainability Education in New Delhi.
The award recognises the school’s outstanding contribution to environmental sustainability through its innovative project, which was developed under the Youth for Earth Campaign.
The award-winning project, “Resource revival: a waste to wealth initiative”, led by Nyla Ali, Sr. Lecturer, Environmental Science and a passionate group of students, focused on repurposing waste materials and implementing sustainable practices in everyday life. This initiative demonstrated a creative approach to tackling environmental challenges, combining innovation with practical solutions that can have a long-lasting impact.
