Jammu, Sep 23: The BJP National General Secretary and Incharge, J&K, Tarun Chugh, on Monday said that if voted to power his party will create five new districts in J&K thus taking the total number of districts to 25.
Tarun Chugh wrote on social platform X, “For the development and prosperity of J&K, BJP will create five new districts in J&K including Nowshera, Sunderbani-Kalakote and 3 others.”
As of now, there are 20 districts in J&K, 10 each in Jammu and Kashmir regions. The five new districts will further streamline the administrative works in J&K, he said.
The senior BJP leader added that the five new districts to be created in J&K are part of PM Modi’s administrative reforms undertaken across the country.
“The five new districts will further bring administrative reforms in J&K and people will be able to avail government services without any inconvenience. The creation of five new districts in J&K will streamline government functioning and would enable people of every nook and corner, especially the hilly areas, of J&K to avail government services without any inconvenience. It will also pave way for development of J&K,” he said.
