Binance founder given four months’ prison for money laundering, ET LegalWorld

The billionaire founder of cryptocurrency exchange Binance was sentenced to four months’ prison on Tuesday in the United States after he admitted money laundering.

Prosecutors had asked that Changpeng Zhao be jailed for up to three years when he appeared in a Seattle court as part of an effort by the Justice Department to clamp down on misbehavior in the crypto space.
