Bandipora-Gurez road reopens after 2 days

The Bandipora-Gurez road, which was closed on Saturday due to heavy snowfall at Razdan Top and the surrounding areas, has reopened for traffic, officials announced on Monday.

According to an official from khabarfilhaal.com, traffic is now permitted, but it will operate under specific time restrictions for safety reasons.

From TCP Kanzalwan, vehicles can travel starting at 8:30 a.m. and must do so by 11:00 a.m. Meanwhile, at TCP Tragbal, traffic will be allowed from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Drivers and passengers are advised to leave Pethkoot at noon and wait at TCP Tragbal until all vehicles from Gurez arrive. Additionally, all vehicles must be equipped with anti-skid chains, and traffic will only be allowed after the Border Roads Organization (BRO) confirms that road conditions are safe.
