The Asia Cup men’s T20 tournament will be played from September 9 to 28 in the United Arab Emirates. India and Pakistan are likely to face each other thrice, with the first confirmed match to be played on September 14 in Dubai.
Mohsin Naqvi, the Asian Cricket Council, confirmed the window and the venue of the tournament, to be hosted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India at a neutral venue, in a social media post. The ACC then announced the detailed fixtures on Saturday (July 26, 2025).
The eight-team tournament will witness two groups of four teams each. While India, Pakistan, UAE and Oman are clubbed together in Group A, Group B comprises Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. The tournament will be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The top two teams from each group will proceed to the Super Fours stage, with the top two facing each other in the final.
After the first match between India and Pakistan on Sept. 14, both teams will play each other the following Sunday (Sept. 21), unless either team fails to progress to the Super Fours.

Group B: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Hong Kong.
