Apple has unveiled the upgraded Apple Vision Pro, now powered by the all-new M5 chip, bringing major leaps in performance, display rendering, and AI-powered experiences. The new model also debuts a redesigned Dual Knit Band for enhanced comfort, alongside visionOS 26, which introduces richer spatial experiences and Apple Intelligence features.
The new Apple Vision Pro with M5 chip starts at $3,499 (around Rs 3.08 lakh) and will be offered in 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB storage configurations.
At the heart of the new Vision Pro is Apple’s M5 chip, featuring a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. The CPU delivers higher multithreaded performance for faster app loading, smoother multitasking, and more responsive browsing. The next-generation GPU adds hardware-accelerated ray tracing and mesh shading, bringing striking realism to lighting, shadows, and reflections in supported titles such as Control.
With the M5, Vision Pro renders 10 percent more pixels on its custom micro-OLED displays than before, producing sharper and more detailed visuals. The refresh rate now goes up to 120 Hz, further reducing motion blur for a more natural viewing experience.
Smarter AI and faster workflows
Apple claims that the upgraded 16-core Neural Engine enables AI-powered system features to run up to 50 percent faster, while third-party apps can see up to 2× performance gains. These improvements benefit real-time experiences such as spatial video editing, scene recognition, and gesture tracking.
The new Dual Knit Band offers a more comfortable fit through a combination of upper and lower straps 3D-knitted as one continuous piece. This dual-rib structure enhances cushioning, breathability, and stretch. The lower strap includes flexible fabric ribs with tungsten inserts that act as a counterweight for better balance. An intuitive dual-function Fit Dial lets users fine-tune their fit with precision.
visionOS 26 and new spatial experiences
Running on visionOS 26, Vision Pro introduces new ways to personalize spatial computing. Widgets now seamlessly integrate into a user’s space and reappear when Vision Pro is worn again. The update also brings Apple Intelligence, enhanced Personas, immersive environments like the Jupiter Environment, and upgraded media and collaboration tools.
