Rajouri, Jun 16: For the third consecutive day, the Army continued with anti-terror operations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri on Monday with troops on the entire LoC asked to maintain alertness and vigil to thwart any such infiltration attempt in the days to come.
The operation was launched on Saturday after troops manning the Line of Control (LoC) and its Anti Infiltration Obstacle System (AIOS) thwarted an infiltration attempt by a group of heavily armed terrorists at Barat Gala in Keri, Rajouri.
The terrorists and troops exchanged a heavy volume of gunfire for hours in the morning on Saturday after which a massive anti-terror operation was launched which is still going on.
On Tuesday, troops continued with anti-terror operations in LoC areas with aggressive searches going on.
However, there is no fresh trace of infiltrating terrorists on LoC with the possibility that they might have retreated to their launch pad on the other side of LoC.
On the other hand, troops on LoC have been asked to maintain the highest state of alertness in all sectors of LoC amid apprehension of more attempts of infiltration in the days to come.
