Srinagar, February 13: Army on Thursday said it has recovered war-like stores of explosives including anti-tank mine during a search operation at Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The recovery which include anti-tank mine, four anti-personnel activator mines, splinter material, shovel, rope and allied material, has been made by troops of Gambhir Battalion deployed at Line of Control in Rajouri.

Army officials held that the recovered material was brought at the forward location of LoC by group of terrorists from across who tried to plant this anti-tank mine on LoC in order to target an Indian Army patrol but their attempt was foiled by alert troop.

This is for the first time that an anti-tank mine meant to be used on LoC to target patrol has been recovered, officials added.
