Google released the fourth beta version of Android 16 on April 17, which is likely to be the final beta before the official rollout of the world’s most popular mobile operating system. Unlike the earlier beta builds of Android 16, the latest version is now available for flagship smartphones from every major Android manufacturer.
In fact, except for Samsung, almost all Android smartphone makers have released Android 16 Beta 4 for at least one of their devices. The list includes the HONOR Magic7 Pro, iQOO 13, vivo X200 Pro, Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus, OnePlus 13, OPPO Find X8, realme GT 7 Pro, Xiaomi 14T Pro, and Xiaomi 15.
Additionally, Android 16 Beta is also available for the Pixel 6, Pixel 7, Pixel 8, and Pixel 9 series, allowing Pixel users to experience the best of Android ahead of the curve.
Users can now install Android 16 Beta on the aforementioned devices. However, keep in mind that beta builds are not intended for use on primary smartphones, as they may not offer the most stable experience. These builds are aimed at users who want early access to the latest Android features, as well as developers looking to optimise their apps and games for the upcoming iteration of Android.
Android 16 is currently in its final testing stage. Google is expected to complete platform stability by the end of April, with the first stable version likely to arrive by late May or early June 2025. Google is most likely to introduce Android 16 at its upcoming I/O 2025 annual developers conference, where the company will demonstrate all the new features and capabilities of the latest version of Android OS that powers millions of smartphones and tablets.
If you own any of these devices, head over to the Android Developer Platform, which will redirect you to your brand’s page to download and install the Android 16 Beta, along with a step-by-step guide on the installation process.
