Jammu, Jan 28: Jammu & Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) president Altaf Bukhari today responded to the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, stating that ‘the party which has the majority will run the bill accordingly’.
“I think what was expected, has happened,” Altaf told reporters in Jammu, as per news agency KINS.
Bukhari further highlighted concerns about the potential impact on Muslim personal law, adding, “We have to see how much interference there is in the personal law. There is a Muslim personal law. How much interference there is, we will have to observe. In some matters, the Muslim personal law will hold the upper side. Let us see how it is implemented”
