After Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt recently appeared on Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s Amazon Prime Video talk show Two Much. During the candid chat, Kajol made an interesting revelation about Alia’s personal life—she shared that the actress writes emails to her daughter Raha.
Teasing her guest, Kajol asked: “You write daily emails to your baby, at least that’s what we’ve heard. Did you get this idea from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai? Does Karan Johar get the credit?” Kajol laughed as she posed the question, leaving Alia slightly awkward.
Alia clarified: “Not really. My friend Aarti—or someone—gave me this idea. Somebody told me that somebody did this for their child. And also, it’s not daily, it’s monthly.”
She went on to explain: “It’s more like a monthly compilation of images and little one-liners, like: ‘You loved this so much!’ I plan to gift it to Raha when she turns 18… or maybe she’ll demand it earlier, at 13 or 14.”
Twinkle Khanna was left in awe, calling the gesture “so sweet.” Varun Dhawan, a new dad himself, immediately connected, saying: “It’s like those baby books people used to keep earlier.”
When asked if her own mother, Soni Razdan, ever did something similar, Alia Bhatt said: “No. I just thought it was a brilliant idea when I heard about it. So I started from the time Raha was born.”
Twinkle, who is a mom of two, added: “It’s also a way for you to remember things. I always worry I’ll forget moments if I don’t write them down.”

This sparked a fun debate among the four about how easily parents forget little details of their children’s early years. Varun seemed shocked: “Why would you forget?” Alia and Kajol instantly replied: “You do forget!”
Alia Bhatt recalled her mother often telling her the same: “She used to say, ‘You’ll be surprised at how much you forget.’ And now I realise it’s true.”
Varun Dhawan, still surprised, remarked: “I have only heard that people forget the trauma of childbirth.” Twinkle quickly teased him: “Have you read some instruction manual before coming on this show? You’re giving such self-righteous answers!”

Varun laughed it off, explaining he had heard it from his aunt when his wife Natasha Dalal was pregnant. Alia backed him, saying: “This is true. A friend recently asked me something about childbirth, and I couldn’t remember—even though it wasn’t that long ago.”
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their daughter Raha in 2022, who will soon turn three. Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal joined the parenting club in 2024 with the birth of their daughter.
