Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited has received orders pertaining to GST from the Assistant Commissioner Central Goods & Service Tax Division-II, Chandigarh, according to the exchange filing.
The demand order relates to the conclusion of the audit proceedings under Section -74 of the CGST Act, 2017, whereby the dispute relates to the claim of ITC in the IGST category instead of CGST & SGST (inter head adjustment).
The order in Form DRC-07 imposed demand as under: Tax – ₹1,16,80,007; Interest – ₹2,76,221; Penalty – ₹1,26,92,444.
The GST authorities have raised a total demand of ₹2,46,48,672.
“The Company intents to file a suitable appeal against the said order before The Appellate Authority,” the company said in an exchange filing.
