As part of exploring the startup ecosystem of North-East India, ADIF had a call on meeting with Assam Startup.

The Alliance of Digital India Foundation (ADIF) and IIT Guwahati Technology Incubation Centre (IIT Guwahati TIC) have a memorandum of understanding to promote entrepreneurship and provide support to technology startups.

The two-year MOU aims to strengthen the startup ecosystem by facilitating collaboration between ADIF’s network of startups and entrepreneurs, and IIT Guwahati’s pool of innovators, faculty, and incubation facilities. Under the agreement, ADIF will provide alliance membership to IITG TIC’s portfolio startup companies, giving them access to ADIF’s startup toolkit of discounted services, resources and mentorship opportunities. On the other hand, IITG TIC will assist ADIF members through mentoring, market linkages, pitching support, networking events and acceleration programs.

The partners will jointly organize startup courses, workshops, hackathons and research initiatives involving students, faculty and entrepreneurs. Additionally, ADIF will promote IIT Guwahati TIC’s events and programs through its channels for greater visibility, according to a joint press release.

“We are excited to partner with the prestigious IIT Guwahati, Technology Incubation Centre to empower early-stage startups through our combined resources and networks,” said Prateek Jain, Associate Director at ADIF. “This collaboration underscores our shared vision of catalyzing India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.”

“IIT Guwahati Technology Incubation Centre is delighted to join hands with ADIF to create a more conducive environment for our brightest minds to transform their innovations into successful businesses specially in the North East India,” said Prof. G. Krishnamoorthy, President, Council of Management, IITG, TIC. “We look forward to nurturing entrepreneurship through this synergistic partnership.”

Together, we’re using technology and entrepreneurship to make India’s future brighter” said Prof. Senthilmurugan Subbiah, Professor Incharge, IITG TIC.

The partnership will provide startups crucial support in areas like policy advocacy, technology solutions, mentoring, funding opportunities and more to help them scale rapidly.

Dr Swapnil Sinha, CEO, Bionest IIT Guwahati, Pooja Thakur, Incubation Manager and Kulendra Roy Choudhary, Assistant Accounts Officer from IITG TIC were also present during the signing ceremony.
