Doda Police crack theft case in 24 hours

Ramban, Oct 25: Doda Police have solved a theft case within 24 hours and recovered stolen property worth around Rs 50,000 in Bhaderwah. Three persons have been arrested in connection with the case.

Police said a complaint was received on Thursday regarding the theft of several costly batteries and iron materials from a BSNL tower at Domail in Bhaderwah.

Following the complaint, FIR No. 146/2025 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah, and an investigation was initiated.

During the investigation, police rounded up several suspects and, based on specific leads, arrested three individuals identified as Imran Ahmed, son of Imtiyaz, resident of Amiranagar, Bhaderwah; Mohd Saqib, son of Azhar Ali, resident of Udarna; and Mohd Asif, son of Mohd Alyas, resident of Sarna, Bhaderwah.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in the theft. On their disclosure, police recovered six stolen tower batteries and other iron materials valued at approximately Rs 50,000.

The swift action of Doda Police in cracking the case has been appreciated by the local residents.
