CM Bhupendra Patel Unveils New Logo for Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences, ETGovernment

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has launched the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC), an initiative aimed at showcasing the industrial capacity and investment potential of each region of the state. The conference will build on the success of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, launched in 2003 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

At the launch event, Patel unveiled the conference logo, website and mobile application in the presence of Industries Minister Balvantsinh Rajput, Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel and Minister of State Bhikusinhji Parmar. The first VGRC will be held in Mehsana district on October

9–10, followed by similar conferences in Saurashtra, Central Gujarat and South Gujarat.

Platform for regional growth

The Chief Minister said the conferences would promote the spirit of “Vocal for Local” while giving industries in different districts an opportunity to present their strengths. He noted that Gujarat has long been a leader in agriculture, chemicals, textiles and pharmaceuticals, and is now expanding into emerging areas such as semiconductors, electric mobility, aerospace, defence and green energy.

Patel added that the regional conferences would allow industries in districts with strong development potential to connect with investors and enhance their brand value, ensuring the benefits of growth reach every part of the state.

Industrial progress since 2003

Industries Minister Rajput highlighted that the Vibrant Gujarat platform has seen production in the state rise from ₹1.42 lakh crore in 2003 to over ₹22 lakh crore in 2025, with per capita income increasing more than fourteen-fold. He said the state now has over 21 lakh small enterprises compared to 1.5 lakh in 2003, and has attracted foreign direct investment of ₹5.50 lakh crore.

He noted that the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit drew participants from more than 140 countries, with commitments that facilitated the creation of 81 lakh jobs.

Upcoming conferences

According to Industries Commissioner Swaroop P, conferences are planned in four regional centres: Mehsana for North Gujarat (9–10 October 2025), Rajkot for Kutch and Saurashtra (8–9 January 2026), Surat for South Gujarat (9–10 April 2026), and Vadodara for Central Gujarat (10–11 June 2026). The events will connect entrepreneurs, youth and local leadership with government policies, while promoting opportunities in traditional sectors and new areas such as value-added agriculture and green energy.
