Singer Taylor Swift and American football player Travis Kelce announced their engagement on Tuesday.
The couple took to Instagram to share photos from their engagement, captioning the post: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
According to People, Travis Kelce proposed with a custom-designed ring he created in collaboration with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce began dating in 2023. Speaking about their relationship, Taylor told Time magazine, “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell. We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple.”
The engagement news comes just weeks after Taylor appeared on the New Heights podcast, co-hosted by Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce. On this very podcast, Travis had previously recalled failing to give his phone number to Taylor at one of her Eras Tour concerts.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Travis shared on the July 26 episode of the New Heights podcast. He added, “So, I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”
When Taylor later appeared on the podcast, she responded playfully to Travis’s comments about trying to meet her, joking that he “threw a man-tantrum.”

“He threw a man-tantrum,” she said, adding, “It was such a wild romantic gesture to just be like, ‘I want to date you.’”
On the work front, Taylor Swift recently announced her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. It is set to drop on October 3, 2025.
