Jammu, Jul 14: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has ordered the promotion of one Jammu and Kashmir Police Service (JKPS) officer to the Super Time Scale I (level 13 A); three officers to the grade of SSP, Selection Grade I (level 13) and nine officers to the grade of SP Selection Grade II.
As per an order issued by the J&K Home Department, sanction has been accorded to the promotion of JKPS officer Kulbir Singh (JKPS: 99) in the Super Time Scale-I, Level 13A (131100-216600) of the pay matrix, with immediate effect.
Through a separate order, sanction has been accorded to the promotion of three JKPS officers of 2001 batch viz., Abrar Ahmad Choudhary (notionally with effect from December 24, 2024 and regularly with immediate effect), Gh Jeelani Wani and Amit Bhasin (both with immediate effect) in the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Selection Grade-I, Level 13 (123100-215900) of the pay matrix.
Nine JKPS officers, who have been promoted to the Superintendent of Police Selection Grade (II) level 12, included Vinay Kumar (JKPS: 2002), Parvez Ahmad Dar (JKPS: 2007), 2008 batch officers of JKPS viz., Tariq Ahmad Wani (JKPS: 2008), Chowdhary Iftikhar Ahmed, Zoheb Tanveer (all five notionally with effect from December 24, 2024 and regularly with immediate effect), Rayaz Iqbal Tantray, Amit Verma, Iftkhar Talib and Noor Ul Hassan (all four with immediate effect).
“In terms of the Jammu and Kashmir Police (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 2024, notified vide SO 500 of 2024 dated October 10, 2024 and as recommended by the Selection Committee-I, sanction is hereby accorded to the promotion of these Jammu and Kashmir Police Service (JKPS) officers in the Superintendent of Police Selection Grade (II) level 12 (78800-209200) of the pay matrix, with effect from the specified dates,” read an order issued by JK Home Principal Secretary Chandraker Bharti, on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor.
