Activision winds down Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile support: Here’s what it means for players | Technology News

Activision has announced that it will be ending support for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. In a post on X, the Microsoft-owned gaming studio said the mobile version of the game “has not met our expectations with mobile-first players like it has with PC and console audiences.”

While Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be pulled from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store after May 18, players who have already installed the game on their devices will still be able to play the game. These users may also get support for cross-progression of shared inventories using existing content, and even connect to servers to play it online.

If you have uninstalled Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and want to play it afterwards, make sure you reinstall it on your device before May 19. Also, it looks like the company has no plans to shut down the servers for online play, at least for now.

However, Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile won’t be getting any new seasonal content or gameplay updates. Also, Call of Duty points and Black Cell cannot be purchased using real currency. While refunds are not available for previously purchased in-game content or unused COD Points, Activision said players will still be able to spend their points to purchase content available in the in-game store.

On its FAQ page, Activision said that until August 15, 2025, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile players can login to Call of Duty: Mobile using their account. These players can get COD Points redeemable in Call of Duty: Mobile that equals two times the amount of their Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile COD Points balance, alongside some other rewards.

In case you were playing Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile on a guest account, simply link or upgrade it to an Activision account using the in-game options.
