The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) is set to hear Maruti Suzuki’s plea against the Competition Commission of India (CCI) on April 15, 2025. The matter was postponed owing to the government holiday due to Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14, 2025.

The matter was listed before the NCLAT on April 14, 2025 after the matter was not taken up by the NCLAT due to paucity of time on February 7, 2025.

Maruti Suzuki filed the appeal against the final order of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) which directed Maruti Suzuki to cease and desist from indulging in RPM directly and/or indirectly, contravening the provisions of Section 3(4)(e) of the Act.

The Commission also directed Maruti Suzuki to deposit the penalty of ₹200. However, the NCLAT has granted an interim stay on the said order, subject to payment of 10% of the penalty amount on the order dated Nov 22, 2021.
