Former Indian men’s cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly escaped unhurt in an accident where a car in his convoy collided with a truck on the Durgapur Expressway on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Mr Ganguly was on his way to an event in West Bengal’s Bardhaman district. While he remained unharmed, two cars in his convoy reportedly sustained minor damage.
Initial reports suggest that a truck veered toward a car in Mr Ganguly’s convoy, forcing the vehicle to brake suddenly. This caused the following cars in the convoy, including the vehicle carrying Mr Ganguly, to collide which also suffered a collision from the rear end.
Shortly after the accident, however, Mr Ganguly proceeded with his journey and participated in an event where he interacted with students and dignitaries.
