Noted writer and Sahitya Akademi Award recipient Imayam alias V. Annamalai has been named the Vice-Chairperson of the Tamil Nadu State Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the government said on Thursday.
It also named S. Selvakumar (Coimbatore district), S. Ananda Raja (Thanjavur), M. Pon Dhous (the Nilgiris) and P. Ilanchezhian (Tirunelveli) as members of the Commission. Of them, Mr. Ilanchezhian has been re-nominated.
