New Delhi, Feb 8: The Change of Guard Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan will have a fresh look starting February 22, 2025. It will now feature an exciting visual and musical performance with more seating for visitors.
The ceremony includes formal military drills by the President’s Bodyguard troops and horses, along with the Ceremonial Guard Battalion and a military brass band.
Before the official launch, President Droupadi Murmu will watch the first show on February 16, 2025.
The Change of Guard Ceremony is a long-standing military tradition where a new group of President’s Bodyguards takes charge.The President’s Bodyguard (PBG), were established in 1773, is the oldest regiment of the Indian Army. Its soldiers are skilled in horse riding, operating tanks, and parachuting.
This new version of the ceremony will offer the public a grand and patriotic experience in front of India’s presidential palace.
