DG CRPF reviews security situation in Rajouri

Rajouri, Feb 6: Director General (DG) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) G P Singh today reviewed the security situation in Rajouri during his visit to the district.

He visited Kalakote establishment of CRPF besides the newly established Counter Insurgency (CI) camp at Kopra.

The camp under CRPF’s 237 Battalion is established at Kopratop in Thanamandi where terror activities have taken place on large scale in last four years.

The CRPF’s Director General is on a two days visit of J&K. During his visit, he toured the camp, interacted with officers and jawans, and listened to their operational experiences. Singh emphasised the importance of upholding firm dedication to duty while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, said officials.

The DG’s visit is seen as a morale booster for the troops, who are engaged in counter-insurgency operations in the region, the officials further said.
