Rajouri, Jan 2: The movement of vehicles on the Mughal Road continued to remain closed for the sixth consecutive day on Thursday with areas in the upper reaches receiving fresh snowfall.
The road got closed on Friday after snowfall and snow clearance work was completed four days ago but slippery conditions forced the authorities to keep the road shut.
SMD Surankote Farooq Khan said, “The road continues to remain closed with areas near Pir Ki Gali having received 3 to 5 inches of snow on Thursday morning.”
“The road restoration is only possible after improvement in weather conditions,” he said.
