DC Studios has officially launched the first motion poster for Superman, offering fans a first glimpse of David Corenswet as the iconic Man of Steel. The poster, released alongside a traditional one-sheet, captures Superman mid-flight, surrounded by vibrant hues reminiscent of Superman: The Movie (1978).

Adding to the nostalgia, the poster also features a reimagined version of John Williams’ legendary Superman theme. While it remains unclear whether this will serve as composer John Murphy’s primary score for the film, the beloved melody instantly evokes Richard Donner’s classic interpretation of the hero. Fans of Smallville and Superman Returns will recognize the theme’s enduring legacy, further linking this contemporary reboot to Superman’s storied cinematic past.

Directed by James Gunn, Superman will follow Clark Kent’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his humble upbringing in Smallville, Kansas. Touted as a return to the hero’s core values of “truth, justice, and the American way,” Gunn is looking to deliver a blend of heartfelt storytelling and modern spectacle.

Alongside Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan stars as Lois Lane, with a supporting cast including Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, Nathan Fillion, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.

Superman is set to take flight on July 11, 2025.
