Govt responding promptly: MLA Budhal

Rajouri, Dec 13: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Budhal, Javed Iqbal Chowdhary Friday said that the government and the entire setup including district administration and Health Department had promptly responded to the health crisis after the death of seven persons including six children with suspicion of food poisoning.

“All necessary measures have been taken to deal with the situation,” he said.

On Friday, MLA Budhal visited GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri where he met the villagers hospitalised there.

He later visited Badhaal village and met senior officers and medical experts camping there.

“The government and administration, especially the district administration, is responding promptly to the situation. A team of medical experts also visited the area today. Our special medical camps are also in place around the clock,” Chowdhary said.

The MLA Budhal said that he had met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday and called for his personal intervention to ensure immediate results of all lifted samples.
