Ramban, Dec 11: One person died on the spot while three others sustained injuries when a car in which they were travelling on the Maroog-Digodi link road rolled into a gorge late Wednesday evening.
Police said a car (JK11B 8699) skidded off the road and fell into a 100-feet deep gorge on the Maroog-Digodi link road in Ramban district.
They said three persons sustained grievous injuries and were taken to District Hospital Ramban where one person was declared dead.
Police identified the deceased as Ashok Singh, son of Karnail Singh of Digodi, Ramban while the two injured persons were identified as Naresh Kumar, son of Sudesh Kumar, and Balbir Singh, son of Chain Singh, both residents of Maroog, Ramban.
SHO Police Station Ramban, Inspector Vijay Kotwal confirmed the incident and said one person was declared dead on arrival at District Hospital Ramban.
He said two others were admitted to the hospital.
