Two village defence guards shot dead in J&K’s Kishtwar

Srinagar, Nov 07: Terrorists on Thursday killed two members of the Village Defense Guard (VDG) in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Quoting officials, the news agency KDC reported that the guards – Kuldeep Kumar, son of Amar Chand; and Nazir Ahmad, son of Mohammad Khalid, both residents of Ohil Kuntwara – were kidnapped and later on shot dead in cold blood.

Militant group ‘Kashmir Tigers’ while owning the killings shared the purported pictures of the slain duo on social media.

Village Defence Guards (VDGs) are a civilian militia in Jammu and Kashmir raised to protect residents from militants.
