AUCL partners with WHT NOW to reduce youth suicides rates in India by cyber threats, ET LegalWorld


AU Corporate Advisory and Legal Services (AUCL) has announced partnership with WHT NOW- A Youth Voice against Cyber Harassment, Cyber Bullying to save and protect each and every precious life undergoing cyber bullying threat in India.

As the digital age progresses, technology has revolutionized the way people connect, communicate, and share information. However, this technological boom has also opened doors for new challenges such as cyberbullying, cybercrime, and cyber harassment, which are rapidly emerging as significant social issues in India and worldwide.

These problems are particularly pressing in a country like India, where internet usage has increased exponentially but regulatory frameworks and awareness lag behind the threats posed by these online dangers. “As India continues its march toward becoming a digitally empowered society, the risks posed by cyberbullying, cybercrime, and cyber harassment must not be ignored. These issues demand urgent attention from policymakers, educators, law enforcement, and the public,” said Akshat Khetan, Founder, AU Corporate and Legal Advisory Services (AUCL).

We aim to achieve this by providing youth forums through outreach awareness programs against cyber harassment,” said Neeti Goel, Founder of WHT NOW and philanthropist.

Neeti Goel, a renowned restaurateur and philanthropist, has been a pioneering advocate for social causes, with initiatives like ‘WHT NOW,’ aimed at empowering youth to combat cyber harassment.

Dr. Nivedita Shreyans, an eminent educationist and co-founder of WHT NOW, has played a key role in shaping the movement. Together, they have united to address the alarming rise in cyberbullying, creating a support system that provides legal aid, mental health resources, and a platform for youth to seek help without fear or judgment. Their collaborative efforts are driving India’s largest youth movement against online abuse.

In addition, to the legal assistance and help, both AUCL and WHT NOW will provide, youth mentors for victims to heal, assist them with cybercrime police team, legal guidance and support, extensive outreach awareness programs and social campaigns in the colleges and universities across India. In addition, will organise seminars, conferences, panel discussions, case study analysis, road shows, walkathons, candle-light march, skits, art exhibitions, debate to sensitize the society.

WHT NOW in conjunction with AUCL aims to achieve and eradicate the menace of cyberbullying through youth outreach programmes, revamping the government policies, making it as a compulsory part of the educational syllabus and sensitizing parents through parent teachers outreach initiatives.
