Kupwara, Oct 15: CRPF’s 92 Battalion Tuesday organized a free medical camp at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Muqam Hindwanpora area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The camp was innagrated by Commandant 92 Battalion CRPF Naresh Kumar. Deputy Commandant Shahabuddin Ahmed, Assistant Commandant Sundar and many other senior officials were present on the occasion.
More than 150 patients including children, women and elderly were treated and given free medicines.
Commandant Naresh Kumar briefly described about the programme and stated that such programmes have been organised by the CRPF under its social responsibility schemes where in they identify the needy segment of the society in their area of operations.
“Though the main role of CRPF is internal security, even then we are always ready to provide assistance to the public by conducting medical camps. This Unit will conduct more such camps to assist the local public in future” he said.
He also added that such programme are being organized by the force to develop public relation and faith among local people on security forces and vigorous efforts are always made to tender helping hand in all respect to boost up the health.
