On October 1st, the Moul Mouj Foundation will commemorate the International Day of Older Persons, a day dedicated to honoring the invaluable contributions of our elders, particularly the role of mothers in shaping our lives and society. From nurturing our homes to raising future generations, their efforts and sacrifices remain the bedrock of our families and communities.
This year, by the will of Allah, we are proud to announce the launch of the Moul Mouj 24/7 Toll-Free Helpline, dedicated exclusively to supporting senior citizens. This helpline will provide round-the-clock assistance, ensuring that elderly individuals have access to immediate support, counseling, and essential services.
In addition, we are introducing a fully-equipped ambulance service tailored to the unique healthcare needs of seniors. This dedicated service will ensure timely medical care and transportation for the elderly, further strengthening our commitment to their well-being.
As we commemorate this special day, we also mourn the profound loss of our founding member, Late Mr. Muhammad Shafi Pandit. In his memory, we will hold a special commemorative session to reflect on his vision and immense contributions to the foundation’s work. Mr. Pandit was instrumental in shaping the foundation’s mission and we continue to be inspired by his legacy.
Furthermore, we will conduct an awareness talk on the legal rights of parents and seniors, empowering them with knowledge of their entitlements and protections under the law. This session aims to inform seniors and their families about their rights and how they can seek help if faced with neglect or abuse.
Lastly, the Moul Mouj Foundation will present a comprehensive review of our achievements over the past two months since our establishment. We will highlight our ongoing efforts to address the needs of senior citizens, showcasing the impact of our services and future plans.
