Srinagar, Sep 27: The Amazon Great Indian Festival 2024 will showcase more than 9,500 new products launched by Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) participating in Amazon’s seller programmes – Karigar, Saheli, Local Shops, and Launchpad.
A statement said that this month-long shopping extravaganza will feature offerings from over 16 lakh sellers across India, reaching customers in all serviceable pin codes.
To prepare sellers for the expected surge in demand, Amazon has implemented several initiatives. The company reduced selling fees across multiple product categories, effective from September 9th, with reductions ranging from 3% to 12%. It also hosted Seller Connect Events nationwide, providing training sessions and masterclasses on optimizing sales strategies.
Amazon introduced the Seller Rewards 2024 programme, offering prizes including cash and international trips based on seller performance. New tools and features were launched, such as the Sale Event Planner for managing major sale events, AI-powered Imaging Services and Listing Assistants, Gen-AI based Listing Experience for easier product showcasing, Self-Service Registration (SSR 2.0) with multi-language support, and a New Seller Success Center for guidance on setting up online shops.
The Amazon Seller App was improved to allow sellers to manage their entire business operations on-the-go, including coupons, deals, and sponsored product campaigns.
Amit Nanda, Director of Selling Partner Services at Amazon India, stated, “Our goal is to make the festive season memorable for everyone and empower our sellers through digital transformation to help them connect with customers across different parts of India.”
