5 absent employees suspended in Reasi

Ramban, Sep 20: District Election Officer,(DC), Reasi placed five officials under suspension for their absence from the duties who were deployed for home voting in Gulabgarh and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Assembly constituencies on September 17.

According to an office by District Election Officer, ((DC), Reasi, Vishesh Paul Mahajan it was reported by the Returning Officer 56-Gulabgarh Assembly Constituency and Returning Officer 58-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Assembly Constituency, that the five officials of AC-56-Gulabgarh (ST), Mohammad Ashraf, Teacher (PS Dada Gala), Gian Chand Teacher (PS Dasanoo), and AC-58-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Gulam Ahmed, Teacher (PS Malikpura), Mohd Nazir Teacher (HS Sujandhar, Mohd Iqbal Teacher (MS Upper Tukson) had not reported for home voting duty on September 17.

The order added that now, in terms of Rule 31 (1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification and Appeal) Rules 1956, these officials are placed under suspension with immediate effect. During suspension, these officials shall remain attached to the office of the Chief Education Officer, Reasi.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Kulbushan Khajuria, shall conduct inquiry in the matter and submit a report within 10 days, the order reads.
