3.5 kanal prime state land retrieved in Sidhra

Jammu, Nov 19: Jammu district administration Wednesday conducted a major demolition operation at Sidhra, Jammu, targeting illegal constructions raised on state land and retrieved 3.5 kanals of land.

A team led by Tehsildar Jammu, Paramdeep Singh accompanied by Naib Tehsildar Sidhra and Bajalta Jagdish Singh besides revenue officials and Police personnel, following the directions of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Dr Rakesh Minhas, conducted the operation, removing unauthorised shops and structures built on encroached state land, bearing Khasra number 95.

All illegal constructions were demolished on the spot.

“Through this action, the department has successfully retrieved approximately 3.5 kanals of valuable land. The retrieved land has been immediately taken into official possession and is earmarked for the establishment of Niabat and Patwari office, and Police Chowki, Sidhra,” the officials stated.

They informed the people that Niabat office Sidhra would commence functioning from November 20 itself at the location (retrieved land) to further facilitate public service delivery.

“The district administration has reiterated its resolve to continue strict action against violators and encroachers, appealing to the public to refrain from illegal occupation of government land,” they said.
