2 shops gutted in Rajouri fire

Rajouri, Nov 25: Two shops were gutted in a fire at Shahdra Sharif market of Thanamandi sub-division in Rajouri district.

The fire incident occurred in the market located near the famous shrine of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah Sahib at Shahdra Sharif. The affected shops include a readymade garment store owned by Nazam Umer, son of Mohammad Shabir, a resident of Shahdara, and a sweet shop owned by Farkun, son of Mohammad Sultan, a resident of Bijnor, UP.

Local traders, residents, and fire and emergency services teams launched the fire fighting operation.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
