2 properties attached in Handwara: Police

Kupwara, Feb 25: Two properties valued at lakhs of rupees owned by two terrorist handlers operating from Pakistan were seized in Kralgund, Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday, Police said.

A Police official said that the action was taken after an attachment order was obtained from the Additional Sessions Court Handwara.

He said that properties including 3 kanal and 12 marlas of land owned by Tahir Ahmad Peer and Muhammad Ramzan Ganie of Qaziabad’s Badrah Bala and Ganapora areas had been attached, sending a strong message to terror handlers.

“The attachment was carried out under Sections 88 of CrPC (83 Central) and is linked to case FIR No 73/2011 under Sections 2 and 3 of the EIMCO Act and 121-A of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) at Police Station Kralgund.
