Ramban, Sep 13: Two persons sustained injuries after a two-room house collapsed in Jad, Karthai village of Paddar area in Kishtwar district of Chenab Valley on Saturday.
Locals said heavy rains that lashed the region over the past few days weakened the structure.
Officials said the injured were initially shifted to Sub-District Hospital Atholi, where they received first aid, before being referred to District Hospital Kishtwar for specialised treatment.
The injured have been identified as Sujjan Singh and Kulbir Singh, both residents of Karthai village.
Doctors at District Hospital Kishtwar confirmed that both patients were responding well to treatment.
